# How to verify your product

> Scan the QR code and validate the CVV on your EXTRACTOS EUM® product to confirm what it contains (the batch COA) and that it is authentic. What each result means: authentic, invalid, duplicate, or revoked.

> Every product carries two codes: a **QR** (shows you the real analysis of the batch) and a **CVV** (confirms
> the item is authentic). In seconds you know *what it contains* and *whether it is legitimate*. No account needed.

## 1. Scan the QR → what it contains

The **QR** on the label opens the product's [Smart COA](../smart-coa.md): the laboratory analysis of the
**batch** you are holding — cannabinoid profile (CBD, CBN, CBG, HHC, Δ8… depending on the product), **THC
≤1%**, batch, laboratory, and analysis date. It is not a brand-generic sheet: it is the real result of that batch.

## 2. Validate the CVV → whether it is authentic

The **CVV** is a unique, non-repeating code printed on each item (beneath the layer of the premium label).
When you scan its QR or open `coa.extractoseum.com/verify/<cvv>`, the system tells you the status:

| Result | What it means |
| - | - |
| ✅ **Authentic** | The code corresponds to a real item issued by EUM. All good. |
| ❌ **Invalid / does not exist** | The code was not issued by EUM — suspected counterfeit. |
| ⚠️ **Duplicate / already used** | The same code appears on more than one item — possible copy. |
| 🚫 **Revoked** | EUM voided this code (e.g., a seized or compromised item). Do not consume it. |

## 3. QR vs CVV — in one line

* **QR** answers *"what does it contain and which batch is it from?"* → opens the COA.
* **CVV** answers *"is this specific item authentic?"* → anti-counterfeit verification.

Together they cover **content + authenticity**. Verification is **public**: anyone (including an
authority) can look it up without an account.

## Something doesn't add up?

If the CVV comes back invalid, duplicate, or revoked, or the COA does not match the product, **[open a support
ticket](soporte.md)** with a photo. It helps us detect counterfeits and protect consumers.
